To promote good citizenship, Indiana PTA is again sponsoring the Student Citizenship Essay Program for students in grades 4-12. This years’ theme was submitted by: Melachi Wright from Walkerton Elementary School. School.

The Samuel Lindow Foundation's Global Citizenship Essay Competition winners have been announced.

Two Our Lady of Sorrows students have won awards in the Knights of Columbus 2011 Essay Contest. The theme was “The Responsibility of a Catholic in a Free Society.” All 7th and 8th grade students participated, writing beautiful, thoughtful essays, but the following two students were recognized on the international and state levels in the Catholic Citizenship Essay Contest. The Samuel Lindow Foundation awarded prizes last week for the winenrs and runners up in our Global Citizenship essay competition.

Virginia PTA is proud to sponsor the 2016 Citizenship Essay Project, with the theme "Community...Making Unity Common Again." This essay project allows students to express their views and opinions on "Character or Citizenship". Virginia PTA is committed to promoting a sense of citizenship and responsibility in the lives of our children—tomorrow's leaders. It is important to note this should be the original work of the student and not tied to any in-class graded assignment.
